LISA WILLIS, Co-Founder
Lisa Willis (she/her) is a passionate artistic administrator who has managed and supported the development of a variety of multidisciplinary projects in the classical and commercial performing arts sectors. She has freelanced extensively as a fundraising consultant providing support to small nonprofit performing arts groups in the areas of grant writing, individual donor cultivation, corporate sponsorships, and special event planning.
In addition to her role as Co-Founder of The LynList, Lisa serves as Executive Director for Cave Canem, a service organization founded in 1996 to cultivate the artistic and professional growth of Black poets. She has held various consulting and management roles in development, programming and operations for New York Live Arts, home of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, Contemporaneous, Thresh, Heidi Latsky Dance, Brian Sanders’ JUNK, Kimmel Center, the Mann, and JazzReach.
Prior to her work in fundraising, Lisa was the founding Operations Manager for CAMI Music, establishing and managing the daily protocols for the company in addition to overseeing the touring and managerial logistics for Lang Lang, Tan Dun, Savion Glover, American Ballet Theatre, Cirque Eloize and the Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández amongst other projects for film, diplomatic engagements and special events.
Lisa holds a B.A. in Music Composition and Theory from New York University and a background of training in ballet and modern dance.
LYNDSAY LEWIS, Co-Founder
Lyndsay Lewis (she/her) is a Brooklyn-based maker, mover, and arts administrator with a dual degree in dance and psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
As an independent artist, her work has been commended as “satisfyingly visceral” and presented across the Midwest, as well as on both the East and West coasts.
Lyndsay currently works as the development associate for NY-based Heidi Latsky Dance, Danielle Russo Performance Project, and Thresh. Her work has played an instrumental role in securing major government and institutional funding from sources such as MidAtlantic Arts Foundation, The New York Community Trust, Dance/NYC, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, Brooklyn Arts Council, and Canada Council for the Arts, as well as garnering support from the MAP Fund (twice!).
Prior to her time in New York City, Lyndsay was the General Manager for Wisconsin-based Li Chiao-Ping Dance.
Lyndsay is committed to supporting the arts through her work on projects that explore accessibility and inclusion, identity representation, Disability and concert dance, and Climate Change.
